When shopping for suitcases or bags, be sure to scrutinize the appearance and give them a thorough hands‑on test. For soft-sided luggage, check that the stitching is even and look for any loose or missing stitches; for hard‑sided cases, inspect the shell for cracks or other signs of damage.

When testing the product, pay attention not only to the handles and wheels but also to the zippers and locks. Be sure to zip and unzip the zipper several times to ensure smooth operation and check for any missing teeth. For locks, focus on whether the dial of a combination lock turns smoothly.
